The piece is engraved with pictographs from stone tablets from teocalli temples in Mesoamerica.
The eagle design stands out on the closing of the cuff.
Inspired by Huitzilopochtli, the God of Sun and War who’s represented in art as either a hummingbird or an eagle.
Also inspired by Xipe Totec, a life-death-rebirth deity, god of agriculture, vegetation, the east , spring, goldsmiths, silversmiths, liberation, and the seasons.
